VanDusen Botanical Garden

VanDusen Botanical Garden is a living museum of 7,500 plant species collected from around the globe. Plants are arranged in collections displayed throughout the Garden’s 55-acres of rolling hills, lakes and waterfalls. Highlights: Spring – Cherries, Rhododendrons, Laburnums; Summer - Perennial & Meadow Gardens, Waterlilies, Heirloom Vegetable Garden; Autumn – Maple Collection, Autumn Colour Walk; Winter – Witchhazels, Viburnums, Hellebores. Feature Areas: Rose Garden, Sino-Himalayan Area, Canadian Heritage Area including First Nation Medicine Wheel, Cascadia Native Plants, Elizabethan Maze. Permanent international sculpture collection. The Garden is home to 65 species of birds. Architecturally important Living Building Visitor Centre is a model of sustainability.
